America the Battlefield

According to sociologists William Strauss and Neil Howe, the United States of America will enter into its post-crisis renaissance era in the mid-2020’s. Their book, ‘The Fourth Turning: What the Cycles of History Tell Us About America’s Next Rendezvous With Destiny’, published in the year 1997, factors in the recurring cycles of history, which go through an 80- to 100-year cycle of four turnings, the fourth of which is a crisis phase of an unraveling of civic order and secular upheaval.

According to Strauss and Howe’s carefully calculated prediction, starting in the year 2025, America will enter into a new golden age, experience the empowerment of a strong new political regime, a new values consensus, a renaissance of civic trust, and become a society that is good, one that works, and that triumphantly applies shared values to improve the human condition.

Were they correct? Were they predicting the rise of the Trump administration, its America First policies, and making America great again? 🇺🇸
