Visible and Invisible Functions of War

Wars are not fought for the usual reasons outlined. They are fought to "control economies."

In this article, I will attempt to explain the visible (exoteric) and invisible (esoteric) functions of war; the external reasons given in subterfuge to the public citizenry as an artifice to generate support for wars and conflicts at home and abroad, and the internal reasons that the wars and conflicts are engineered for expediency.

• Wars are fought because one nation wants something another nation has.

• Protecting a nation from outside attack is another reason for war.

These two reasons for war are called the Visible Reasons for War. Research now has concluded that there are what are called Invisible Reasons for War, as well.

One such report that has done research into the Invisible Reasons for War is a report called the Report From Iron Mountain on the Possibility and Desirability of Peace (New York: Dell Publishing Co., Inc., 1967). Written in 1963 and released in March 1966, this report examines the visible and invisible functions or reasons of not only war but peace as well.

The report claims to have been written at an underground nuclear hideout near the town of Hudson, New York, that has been provided as a "substitute corporate headquarters . . . where essential personnel could presumably survive and continue to work after [a nuclear] attack . . ."

The corporations that have created Iron Mountain include Standard Oil of New Jersey (the Rockefeller interests); Manufacturers Hanover Trust (the Morgan interests); and Shell Oil (the House of Orange), amongst others.

The report dates back to at least 1961, when Robert McNamara (Secretary of Defense during the Kennedy and Johnson administrations), McGeorge "Mac" Bundy (National Security Advisor to President Kennedy and Johnson, and former president of the Ford Foundation), and Dean Rusk (Secretary of State from 1961 to 1969 under Kennedy and Johnson), all members of the Council on Foreign Relations, noticed that no serious study had been made about planning for a long-term peace. Not only were they concerned about the lasting effects of a long-term peace, they also wished to examine the functions, both visible and invisible, of war.

The report states that: "War has provided . . . society with a debatable system for stabilizing and controlling national economies. No alternate method of control has yet been tested in a complex modern economy that has shown it is remotely comparable in scope or effectiveness."

War, therefore, was not fought for the usual reasons outlined above. It was fought to "control economies." These individuals were apparently concerned that there had been no efforts made to detail how they were to control economies during a time of peace: "War fills certain functions essential to the stability of our society; until other ways of fulfilling them are developed, the war system must be maintained — and improved in effectiveness."

So, in a manner not detailed in the report itself, these three somehow arranged for a study of these problems. The report states that fifteen members of the investigating team got together to write the report, and that it was unanimously agreed to. Furthermore, no minutes of the meetings were maintained, as it was thought they would be "too inhibiting." The team which wrote the report recommended that the report not be made public after it was completed. Much like the top secret Operations Research Technical Manual TM-SW7905.1 Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars, which stated: "This manual is in itself an analog declaration of intent. Such a writing must be secured from public scrutiny. Otherwise, it might be recognized as a technically formal declaration of domestic war," was not made public until it was leaked in 1986.

A similar clause in the Report From Iron Mountain states: "The unwillingness of [The Special Study Group] to publicize their findings [is] readily understandable . . . They concluded [that] lasting peace, while not theoretically impossible, is probably unattainable; even if it could be achieved it would almost certainly not be in the best interests of a stable society to achieve it . . ."

One of those who read the Report From Iron Mountain attempted to locate the authors. It was his theory that it had been written by the Hudson Institute. He wrote: "There is considerable evidence that the Report is the work of the Hudson Institute and Herman Kahn . . . There is an Iron Mountain just a stone's throw [literally] from the Hudson Institute near Croton-on-Hudson, [New York]" (Gary Allen, "Making Plans for a Dictatorship in America," April, 1971, American Opinion, p. 16).

The Hudson Institute is not well known among the American public, but it is known to government officials who have used it as a "think tank" by hiring it to report on the issues of national concern.

The Hudson Institute was started in 1961 when Mr. Kahn, the owner, decided "to help determine the entire future of the U.S. ― and, time permitting, much of the world beyond" (William A. McWhirter, Life, December 6, 1968).

The Institute primarily receives its income from the government. Hudson listed five sources for its $1.36 million of income in 1968: The Office of Civil Defense, The Office of Secretary of Defense, the Military Services, other Government agencies and non-U.S. Government organizations.

Kahn and his "think tankers" have become so important to the American government that they are frequently accused of setting older administrations on a path that new administrations cannot alter. "This is a process of invisible power. At its extreme this influence can commit a nation to special programs and military actions which have neither been fully explained nor publicly debated. One day, as that power pervades and grows more sophisticated, it may so affect the course of government that any nation's policies may be locked in, as if by automatic pilot, years before the men who are elected to govern ever take office" (William A. McWhirter, Life, December 6, 1968).

The Hudson Institute has a published list of what it calls "Public Members" and "Fellows." Ten of the twenty-one listed Public Members are members of the Council on Foreign Relations, as are fifteen of the thirty-four Fellows.

Two of the Fellows are known to the public: former National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger (CFR member) and the late Dr. Milton Friedman, an American economist and statistician.

The report starts by defining the traditional view of the functions of war. It claims that there are three:

1. to defend a nation from military attack by another or to deter such an attack;

2. to defend or advance a national interest; and

3. to maintain or increase a nation's military power for its own sake.

It continues by stating that these are the "visible" functions, and that there are "invisible, or implied" functions, as well. These are spelled out in the report, but all functions have one common purpose:

"War has provided both ancient and modern society with a debatable system for stabilizing and controlling national economies. No alternate method of control has yet been tested in a complex modern economy that has shown it is remotely comparable in scope or effectiveness. War fills certain functions essential to the stability of our society; until other ways of fulfilling them are developed, the war system must be maintained — and improved in effectiveness."

The report then goes on to detail what the "invisible functions" of war are:

"War . . . is the principal organizing force in most societies . . . The possibility of war provided the sense if external necessity without which no government can long remain in power. 

The historical record reveals one instance after another where the failure . . . of a regime to maintain the credibility of a war threat led to its dissolution. 

War . . . provides anti-social elements with an acceptable role in the social structure. 

The younger, and more dangerous, of these hostile social groupings have been kept under control by the Selective Service System. 

As a control device . . . the draft can again be defended . . . 

The level of the draft calls tends to follow the major fluctuations in the unemployment rate . . . 

Man destroys surplus members of his own species by organized warfare. 

War is the principal motivational force for the development of science . . . 

War is a . . . general social release . . . for the dissipation of general boredom. 

War . . . enables the physically deteriorating older generation to maintain its control of the younger, destroying it if necessary."

An excellent summation of the report is contained in a novel by Taylor Caldwell, entitled Ceremony of the Innocent. She wrote: ". . . there will be no peace in the tormented world, only a programmed and systematic series of wars and calamities ― until the plotters have gained their objective: an exhausted world willing to submit to a planned Marxist economy and total and meek enslavement ― in the name of peace" (Taylor Caldwell, Ceremony of the Innocent, Greenwich, Connecticut: Fawcett Books, 1976, p. 289).

Apparently the individual who wrote that "War was Peace" knew what he was talking about.

Treason: The Disarmament of the United States, and the Declaration of World Government

I received the following article last night from World Net Daily: Obama 'Gutting Military' by Purging Generals (Intended to send message 'down through the ranks'), by WND writer F. Michael Maloof, and wanted to get my thoughts on the record regarding its revelations.

In the article, retired US Army Major General Paul Vallely, an outspoken critic of the Obama administration, claims it is part of Obama’s strategy to reduce the standing of the United States worldwide.

"Obama is intentionally weakening and gutting our military, Pentagon and reducing us as a superpower, and anyone in the ranks who disagrees or speaks out is being purged," he charged.

That assessment, I can assure you, is not merely guesswork or conjecture or interpretation. It is a fact.

And it is well-documented in the words of the perpetrators of the agenda.

I wrote about this subject back on July 12, 2012 in an article: The True Agenda of UN and State Department Gun Control.

However, I had only grasped a fraction of the bigger picture. I detailed the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty and the 1961 US State Department memorandum 7277, Freedom From War: The United States Program for General and Complete Disarmament in a Peaceful World.

I explained how the disarmament program is essentially a plan to engineer a "United Nations Peace Force" that would "enforce the peace as the disarmament process proceeds," and that a gradual build-down of police and military forces is outlined, which will leave only NATO as the world army.

2,500 people have read that article since it posted, which contributed to the over 83,000 unique page views on my blog.

What I did not know when I wrote that article, though, was that all of this isn't just a future plan. It is in play now, and we are currently at the tail end of phase two of the three-phase plan of the UN-generated scheme of disarming the world in a prelude to installing a one world totalitarian socialist government.

I did not know then that the United States Constitution has already been replaced (on paper) by the Charter of the United Nations under the United Nations Treaty and the UN Participation Act.

I did not know then that all of this was pushed through by Harry S. Truman, a 33rd degree Freemason and Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Missouri of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry's southern jurisdiction.

I did not know then that our nation is no longer operating under the Constitution as the Supreme Law of the Land, but in fact is currently operating under the Charter of the United Nations, an international consortium of unelected bureaucracies that have no loyalty to our national security, nor of protecting the rights or sovereignty of the American people.

In 1942, the State Department and members of the Council on Foreign Relations collaborated to set up a new "supranational organization" to replace the failed League of Nations, based on President Woodrow Wilson’s internationalist ideas.

The UN Charter was drafted by Alger Hiss, a known communist revolutionary, and 14 members of the CFR (see the US Arms Control and Disarmament Agency and the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs).

The UN Charter was signed into law on June 26, 1945, in San Francisco with little protest from the voters who were traumatized by Japan’s recent attack on Pearl Harbor. US Senators accepted the charter without even viewing a copy, even though they were not authorized to bind US citizens, without our consent, to the conditions of the UN charter.

The Council on Foreign Relations is a serpentine network of international revolutionaries and fascist ideologues whose stated goal is to end American sovereignty and bring about, via the subversion of the democratic process, a global Marxist revolution.

The CFR's Study No. 7, published November 25, 1959, openly declared its true purpose:

"...building a New International Order [which] must be responsive to world aspirations for peace, [and] for social and economic change ... an international order [code for world government] ... including states labeling themselves as 'Socialist.'"

One could safely say that a nutshell descriptor of the CFR is "to bring about a New World Order through the manipulation of US foreign policy and relations, and through international economic interdependence."

And how is US foreign policy and relations manipulated? Money. Specifically, economic interdependence. And you thought that "Novus Ordo Seclorum" on the back of your $1 bill was merely a cryptic, meaningless Latin phrase? No, it is the plan. "Anuit Coeptis" (Enterprise Successful), "Novus Ordo Seclorum" (New World Order). The name of the game is control through monetary systems. For the love of money is the root of all evil, and the control of money is the control of all evil.

CFR member and Judge Advocate General of the US Navy Admiral Chester Ward wrote:

"The main purpose of the CFR is promoting the disarmament of US sovereignty and national dependence and submergence into an all powerful, one world government."

This high ranking military officer went on to explain their procedures for influencing policy, claiming:

"Once the ruling members of the CFR shadow government have decided that the US government should adopt a particular policy, the very substantial research facilities of the CFR are put to work to develop arguments, intellectual and emotional, to support the new policy and to confound and discredit, intellectually and politically, any opposition."

And that is precisely what is now happening among the ranks of our military command structure. The shake-up (identification, vilification and nullification) of all flag officers and other ranking commanders loyal to the Republic and the US Constitution who will not outwardly go along with the one world government—the main opposition force—are being confounded, discredited and removed.

One world government, you say?

On February 17, 1950, James Paul Warburg, founder of the United World Federalists, who helped fund Hitler's rise to power during the Nazi's Third Reich, confidently declared to the United States Senate:

"We shall have World Government, whether or not we like it. The only question is whether World Government will be achieved by conquest or consent."

In America, the original seeds of world government were planted by Truman in the US Public Law 87-297 Arms Control and Disarmament Act. Look it up.

PL87-297 calls for the United States to eliminate its armed forces. This law was signed for the United States in 1961 by John F. Kennedy and every US president since has worked to enact its provisions.

The government knows you will not approve, which is why they want to take away your firearms. Title 22 USC § 2551 is the congressional statement of purpose, and defines the government's meaning of "disarmament." It calls for the "elimination of our armed forces," and the "elimination of weapons of all kinds." That means your personal citizen-owned conventional firearms used for hunting and self defense.

Public Law 101-216 is the sister document to 87-297. In a clear-cut violation of his oath of office, it was signed into law by George Herbert Walker Bush on December 11, 1989. It calls for the divesting of our common defense, including the elimination of weapons of all kinds, and a draw-down of all branches of our armed forces.

From Title V, Sec 61 of PL101-216:

"(2) as defined in this Act, the terms 'arms control' and 'disarmament' mean 'the identification, verification, inspection, limitation, control, reduction, or elimination, of armed forces and armaments of all kinds under international agreement to establish an effective system of international control';"

Let me read that last part again to you, in case you missed it, "...TO ESTABLISH AN EFFECTIVE SYSTEM OF INTERNATIONAL CONTROL."

Do you understand? That's what all of this about, control, not peace.

Since PL87-297 was first passed into law, there have been 18 amendments made to it, and the US House of Representatives votes bi-annually to appropriate funds for this and other on-going programs like PL101-216.

In Stage 1 of the program, we are to reduce our armed forces to 2.1 million men, and transfer (on a permanent basis) one-half of them to be merged with the Russian and Chinese armies. In Stage 2, the remaining one-half of our armed forces is then turned over to the Security Council of the United Nations. The person in charge of the merged armies must, by agreement, always be a Russian.

The world's smaller nations turn 100% of their armies over to the same under-secretary of the Security Council in Stage 2. Former President George H.W. Bush and Admiral William J. Crowe referred to this process as being "in transition." The ultimate goal to be reached in Stage 3 of the disarmament process is to "proceed to a point where no state [nation] would have the military power to challenge the progressively strengthened UN Peace Force."

You see? It is already done on paper. The treason has been done. Now, all the involved traitors must sell the American people on disarmament before we get wind of what has been perpetrated; before we become outraged and bring them all to justice.

The Obama administration is systematically purging all who would stand in the way of the edicts of the United Nations Charter, and Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely was correct in his assumption that "Obama is intentionally weakening and gutting our military, Pentagon and reducing us as a superpower."

Duty personnel backed up Vallely's concern, suggesting that the firings are meant to send a message to "young officers down through the ranks" not to criticize the president or White House politics.

Little do they know, unless they have a lot of time to read and study historic documents, US codes and charters, that the message was sent long before they were even born. And if they want to keep their job, they are told to keep their mouth shut and follow orders.

What is the historic precedent set for dutiful commanders and NCO's who follow orders, no matter what? The night of the long knives. After all, the international power base can't trust anyone in the long run, can they?

Then, all that will be left, according to the UN Charter, Memorandum 7277, and US Public Laws 87-297 and 101-216, is the United Nations world army, where no nation would have the military power to challenge them.

What other international body besides the UN could possibly be behind establishing world government?

It is the same United Nations that declared in an official report in July of 2001:

"Civilian ownership of any firearm in the US threatens the legitimate power monopoly of the state."

In contrast, our Second Amendment protects "the right of the people to keep and bear arms" from any infringement, proclaiming a "well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State." NECESSARY TO THE SECURITY OF OUR FREE STATE. No state or people will ever be free under a totalitarian world government. If Americans abdicate our freedom to an international order, we will never get it back.

Governments and kingdoms never willingly relinquish power unless by force. With that said, power is never bestowed upon rulers unless the people allow it. Frederick Douglass said that "Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will." And the globalist and desired change agent Henry Kissinger is known to have often said, "Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac." Kissinger also stated in an address to the Bilderberg meeting at Evian, France on May 21, 1992:

"The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government."

Senator Joseph McCarthy was onto something, but he didn't really know what to call it. Regardless, he was not allowed to get too close to the truth. What we know as the United States Government is not our real government. It was overthrown long ago by authoritarian socialists posing as liberals in favor of illegitimate corporate law. Our Constitutional Republic was displaced by the blueprint for world government, the United Nations Charter, and our imposter government has been operating under its international law directorates ceremonially, until the time that Stage 3 of the disarmament plan can be implemented.

All of the traitors in the House and Senate know this and have continued funding it. All of our presidents since Kennedy have known it and signed-off on it. Our State Department, military commands, executive, legislative and judicial branches all know it and are following it to the letter behind a thin veil of nationalism.

Now you know why the Constitution and Bill of Rights are no longer a legal defense for an American citizen in a United States court of law. Because we have (knowingly or unknowingly) contracted away our constitutional protections and are a ward of the United States Corporation in agreement with the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), which falls directly under the UN Charter.

The treason is in the ratification, implementation and amendments of these edicts, without the consent of the governed, to further the aims of the international community against the United States of America.

Article III, Section 3, Clause 2 of the US Constitution defines treason and its punishment thusly:

"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted."

The United States Code 18 U.S.C. § 2381 (the treason clause) states: "Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason..."

Treason is a capital crime punishable by attainder of the REAL elected Constitutional Congress, by imprisonment or death.

"...and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States."

I can think of no greater breach of national security—no more significant example of treason—than levying war against our United States in adherence to our enemies for the purpose of disarming our people and military defenses, to end our national sovereignty in the guise of peace.

Barack Obama is disarming our nation in accordance with the UN Charter. He is purging top brass who are refusing to go along with privately-owned weapons confiscation programs under a martial law scenario, and administering litmus tests to find out who among them will fire on American citizen resistors if ordered to do so. He is passing illegal legislation to disarm law-abiding citizens (the unorganized militia which is necessary to the security of a free State). He is weakening military readiness by making defense budget cuts while funding the UN, grounding squadrons of air superiority fighter wings, and withholding military pay. He issued the stand-down order for reinforcements in Benghazi. He is dismantling our nuclear defense capabilities and shut down the US Air Force Space Fence surveillance system after 50 years, an early warning system that tracks incoming debris and meteors that could pose an emergency threat.

Most disturbingly, however, Obama scaled-back technology on US missile defense systems and pulled the plug entirely on our southern air defense system. Utilized by the US Air Force, North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) program identifies enemy aircraft and missiles that may penetrate the border and cross into US airspace.

That's right, Aerostat flight operations was ordered to cease TARS operations and prepare sites for permanent closure. An Exelis employee close to the TARS project had this to say about the closure of the sites:

"Not only will this closure mean hundreds of people will be out of jobs, but it also means our borders will not be safe. These defense radars detect low-flying aircraft infiltrating our borders. 

Without these defense radars, low-flying aircraft will go undetected. It will be open season for any drug/gun/slave smugglers, terrorists flying in with nukes, low altitude missiles, or even a full scale low elevation invasion/attack against America."

Many writers and talking heads are spinning their wheels, debating how it’s difficult to imagine the motivation behind the move to further weaken US air defenses on the southern border. They are busy pointing out that the US government has chosen to shutdown this outward facing surveillance system, and has instead turned the surveillance inward, on the American people, spending hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars to do it. They are asking the question that if September 11, 2001 was any indication of our air defense capabilities, and considering that any ground invasion of the United States would originate on our southern border, then wouldn’t we want as many early warning systems as possible to be actively protecting our country in these specific areas?

Yes, We the People would. And all the while, Russia, China and Iran are all propelling their defense technology, investing billions into improving military readiness, proliferating weapons and shoring-up alliances with each other AGAINST the United States.

You see, the mainstream and alternative media are all sheltering-in-place among the accepted surface-level spectrum of debate, but are missing the point. It's the big elephant in the room that no one dares acknowledge, that we are a captured operation.

We are already captured by a foreign unelected body of power-hungry authoritarians who understand that the sovereignty of the United States of America is the only thing that stands in the way of their world government agenda. And we are already under international law, our constitutional protections dismantled and abrogated to the trash pile of history by a beast system that covets a secular world order in which no nation would have the power to stand against it.

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? (Revelation 13:4)

All beast systems spoken of in the Bible were in reference to a government or kingdom. Why a beast? Because a beast, a wild animal, cannot be reasoned with.

So yes, Obama is intentionally weakening and gutting our military, and reducing us as a superpower. It is his assignment, and he is merely following the orders of his world federalist superiors, who represent the new world order. Every member of his regime are guilty of conspiracy to commit treason, as were most of the presidential regimes since Kennedy.

None of this is by accident. It is a very carefully crafted and orchestrated plan, as Franklin D. Roosevelt admitted, "In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way."

Here are a few profound examples of the stated long-term plan for disarmament and the installation of world government under international socialism:

"We at the executive level here were active in either the OSS, the State Department, or the European Economic Administration. During those times, and without exception, we operated under directions issued by the White House. We are continuing to be guided by just such directives [National Security Decision Directives], the substance of which were to the effect that we should make every effort to alter a life in the United States as to make possible a comfortable merger with the Soviet Union." – H. Rowan Gaither (1953), President of the Ford Foundation

"Our main agenda is to have ALL guns banned. We must use whatever means possible. It doesn't matter if you have to distort facts or even lie. Our task of creating a socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us have been totally disarmed." – Sarah Brady, Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened . . . I no longer need to run as a presidential candidate for the Socialist Party. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty if an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries." – David Rockefeller, in an address to a Trilateral Commission meeting in June of 1991

Are you beginning to see the bigger picture?

So, what are you going to do with this information? Either we stand for something, or we fall for anything. If you will stand for nothing, then the perpetrators were right in their assessment of the future American citizenry:

"This was the primary issue of concern to the nation's elite in 1954.
