In this podcast, as we enter into tax season, I dive into the Bureau of Internal Revenue Service authorities' statements outlining how paying Income Tax requires "voluntary compliance," and how the U.S. Debt Clock has not only added a D.O.G.E. counter of taxpayer savings from waste, fraud, and abuse discovered by the Trump Administration's Department of Government Efficiency, but also how it has eliminated its counters tabulating Income Tax and Corporate Tax revenue. They are gone.

Distraint: “Seizure; the act of distraining or making a distress.”
Distrain: “To take as a pledge property of another, and keep the same until he performs his obligation or until the property is replevied by the sheriff. It was used to secure an appearance in court, payment of rent, performance of services, etc. 3 Bl.Comm. 231; Fitzh. Nat. Brev. 32, B, C, 223. Boyd v. Howden, 3 Daly (N. Y.) 457; Byersv. Ferguson, 41 Or. 77, OS Pac. 5. Distress is now generally resorted to for the purpose of enforcing the payment of rent, taxes, or other duties.”
Voluntary: “Free; without compulsion or solicitation. Without consideration; without valuable consideration; gratuitous.”
Compliance: “A confirmation that a manufacturer can do what they say they can according to the rules and standards required by a contract.”
Voluntary Compliance: “Assuming that tax payers will comply with all tax laws.”
