This praise and worship song was inspired by a series of sermons titled "Forged: How God Shapes a Man" by Pastor Dwayne Bond of Wellspring Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, during Men's Charge 2026 retreat at Salem Heights Church in Salem, Oregon.
I created the music audio and video using my sermon notes, and photos and videos taken at the event, using an AI-assisted music generator. I hope it inspires you as the content of the message and the men involved in the making of this event inspired me.
To God be all the glory.

Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
Adam
Blessed to represent
Gracious gift
Obedient steward
Made to reflect God
A fallen man
Banishment was his Forge
He hid in shame
His fall fractured every future man[Chorus]
Forged
God forges men through calling
(Trials)
It takes heat and pressure
Forged
Time, repeated blows
Surrender
Repentance
Reshaped into God’s son
Forged
Forged[Verse 2]
Abraham
Blessed to bless
A covenant
“Go and I will bless you”
A command with a promise
Called out of comfort
The wilderness was his Forge
God is not in a hurry, but He is never late[Chorus]
Forged
The change is a new form
Forged
In the hands of the Master Craftsman
Perseverance
Redemption
Reshaped into God’s son
Forged
Forged
Forged[Verse 3]
Joseph
Positioned to redeem
A betrayed man
A refined man
A broken man
A shaped man
Slavery was his Forge
God does His greatest work in the darkest places
Brokenness was not his end[Chorus]
Forged
A new identity
Forged
A new heart
Forged
Christ-centered Spirit power
Renewal
Reshaped into God’s son
Forged
Forged[Verse 4]
David
Transgressed the Lord
A willing servant
A steadfast spirit
Confessed in truth
Longed to be cleansed
Declared his praise
“Have mercy, O God?”
Shame was his Forge
Restored through repentance
Delivered from guilt[Bridge]
The Forge is the preparation, not the punishment
Repentance is not the end
It is the doorway
God forges men in Truth, not in comfort
Will I resist the Forge, or trust the Forge Master?[Verse 4]
Peter
His confidence exposed
Too strong
Too unaware
Hard-headed
Denied his Master“Do you love me?”
“Do you love me?”
“Do you love me?”Betrayal was his Forge
Graciously re-commissioned
Fully restored“Follow me,” said his Lord.
[Chorus]
Forged
Reshaped into God’s son
Forged
Reshaped into God’s son
Forged
Reshaped into God’s son
ForgedA New Man
New Man
